We participate in a demi-fine space and offer a range of high-quality selections including gold-filled, gold vermeil, sterling silver or triple electro gold plated metals in our jewelry.
Gold-Filled is created by a mechanical process of pressure bonding layers of gold over bronze. With gold filled, the gold percentage is required to be 1/20 of the total. Gold filled is durable and will never rub or flake off. If gold filled ever develops a tarnish, it is usually a surface tarnish which can be cleaned or polished off. It is the next best thing, in terms of quality and durability, to solid gold jewelry.
18K Gold Vermeil
Pronounced ‘ver-may’ and not to be confused with regular gold plating, vermeil is a much thicker layer of gold which gives our pieces their long-lasting color. If the term vermeil is used, it has to be over sterling silver, and a minimum of 2.5 microns thick. We use 18k Gold in ours and all pieces are stamped with a 925 indicating the sterling silver base purity.
The plating process is different too; Gold Vermeil is plated with a process known as electrolysis, making it very durable. Being quality obsessed as we are, gold vermeil is a dream come true in having the endurance capability for daily wear with-out the price tag of solid gold.
925 Sterling Silver
Pure silver is naturally a soft metal. So, we use 925 Sterling Silver to keep things strong and durable. All styles are stamped with a 925 indicating their purity level.
18K Gold-plated Brass
Electroplating is the process of coating one metal or metal object with a thin layer of another metal, typically by applying a direct electric current. We use triple electro-plated brass that's nickel-free and leaf-free, in order to withstand everyday use and keep the longevity of your pieces.
